Light snow shower
The sky is spitting snow at a slow, relentless rate, and the wind keeps shifting. Walking north four blocks, snow hits me in the face. Turning west, it hits my side. South, and in the face again. East, my back. It’s the kind of snow that requires a plastic hamster ball to keep dry. Unfortunately, I don’t have one, or a working umbrella of any kind.

Someone, a neighbor or one of their friends, has puked on the front step and into the hallway entrance either last night or this morning. At 8:15am on a Friday morning, my dog tried to clean it up with his mouth. Disgust diptych.

Work Holiday
My boss forgot it was a holiday and scheduled a meeting. Waking up, I went about my routine as usual. The silence of my roommates and their normal morning routines was oppressive.
